Visual aspect: golden yellow, pleasant colour.
In the nose: ripe bouquet with aromas of brioche and roasted almonds. On the second nose, smell of macerated plums.
On the palate: Straight taste, impressive length, complex. Creamy mouth feel, almonds again and marzipan. A zest of lemon on the finish, lively acidity.

Enjoyement levels in the ‘14s are high. The cool summer, with pockets of rain, ensured that most wines are fresh, have moderate alcohol, and are what the French call digeste – easy to drink. The idea came to us during the winter, as the desire to buy fresh basil really did not match the season. The base of pesto is simple and, depending on the season, the ingredients are interchangeabe. You only need something nutty, some herbs, olive oil, dry cheese, garlic, pepper and salt. In December, we were inspired by the nuts in our cellar and the marjoram in the garden... Two years of wood aging and 6 years of bottle ripening, have given a deep, dark garnet colour to the wine. After 72 months of resting in my dark, cold cellar, I prefer to give him some time and let it open slowly in a decanter.
