  I know this Cuvée since I know Champagne. Generous and convivial, the Carte d’Or from Paul Lebrun never deceived me. This traditional Champagne “brut”, exclusively made from Chardonnay grapes, finds its balance between the natural freshness of the fruit and a relatively round and smooth dosage.
  My first impression, when holding the nose above the glass, is of ripe red fruit, mainly red currant. I think I could recognize the surprising, typical perfume of this wine amongst dozens of wines. (...)
