"You could never compare it to the type of wine we make in Gigondas. Needless also to ask which one is better. They are different, that’s all. I like working with terroirs that mark the wine. You only have to provide guidance and support.

Cahors had a historically small harvest in 2010, mainly due to shatter or coulure (during difficult climatic conditions at the time of budburst, causing buds to fall to the ground). The high quality of the grapes allowed carrying out skin macerations for several weeks, slowly extracting tannins and aromas.
